Seven times since October, police were called to the home of Sandy Robinson in Taylor. The last time was last month, when she told them her estranged husband violated a personal protection order by stalking her.~~
The police, by law, are not responsible for protecting a person and a restraining order is, after all, just a piece of paper. |

The mother of a 6-year-old boy who shot and killed his 8-year-old sister after finding a gun kept under the woman's bed cried and begged for leniency as she was sentenced to up to seven years in prison for involuntary manslaughter.

She has 30 prior arrests including credit card fraud, theft, and robbery. Why isn't she still in prison for those offenses?

When Alec Costerus moved back to Massachusetts in March 1999, he heard there was a new law regarding handgun licenses.
So he innocently went to the Concord Police Department to inquire what he needed to do. He still held a Firearms Identification (FID) card which had no expiration date. But instead of being given the information on what to do, Costerus was immediately arrested by Sgt. Barry Neal and put in jail. |

The gun-control lobby is on the warpath in a most surprising venue. A group called Doctors Against Handgun Injury is calling on doctors, including psychiatrists, to ask their patients nosy questions about their gun ownership.
