This figure is correct but 4,000 of that number are teens aged 15-19 years, not small children who accidentally shoot themselves or a playmate.
More children under 15 are killed annually by bicycles, space heaters, swimming pools and cigarette lighters than by guns. Think carefully about your decision to own a gun, but don't take such hysterical figures at face value." |

"Felons are barred from possessing firearms, but that doesn't stop some from buying hunting licenses and heading into Wisconsin's woods armed with guns to shoot deer and other wild game.
So, starting this week, state officials will add a disclaimer to all hunting licenses to ensure felons understand that simply buying a license doesn't allow them to grab a rifle and go hunting." |
