"This non-violent confrontation with Britain might have continued indefinitely, but, in April, 1775, colonists faced a challenge which would circumscribe what they were willing to fight and die for."

"Only when British General Thomas Gage attempted to confiscate colonists' rifles and gunpowder did the first armed conflict with Britain erupt at the Battles of Lexington and Concord. Colonists knew that they couldn't allow the British to seize guns or ammunition, or their cause would be lost. In a defining moment, America became the ultimate single-issue organization, and our single issue was the right to arms." ...

"Just a short time ago, the U.S. was not interested in the Small Arms Treaty, but it seems that Secretary of State Clinton is now in favor of discussion of the Treaty. It is amazing how the left leaning radicals never give up. Unfazed by the Supreme Court's rulings that have upheld the citizens' right to bear arms, they try another route to undermine our Constitution."

"Regular readers will recall that I've been having feed problems with our testing and evaluation Ruger SR9c. After gunnuts.net fingered ammo issues—using the same ammo in the same gun with the same results—I contacted Remington. They reckoned our FTF might have something to do with bullet length. Pending further investigation of TTAG's ammo by Remington's boffins, I went back to American Firearms School to put the Ruger SR9c through its paces . . ." ...

"The hunting world has long looked down their nose at 'black' military-style rifles. Thanks to cutting edge innovation from firearm and cartridge manufacturers, the M-16 style AR-15 platform has become an excellent choice for hunters like me who enjoy sport shooting and military arms as well. In anticipation of a spring hog hunt in Texas, I started to build an AR-15 style rifle chambered in the potent 6.8mm Special Purpose Cartridge (SPC)."

"All Gun Owners, Hunters and Shooters:"

"With the fall hunting season fast approaching, the [EPA] under Lisa Jackson, who was responsible for banning bear hunting in New Jersey, is now considering a petition by the Center for Biological Diversity (CBD) – a leading anti-hunting organization – to ban all traditional ammunition under the Toxic Substance Control Act of 1976, a law in which Congress expressly exempted ammunition."

Rather, it's a way for the undocumented President Obama to circumvent the legislative branch and enforce a radical liberal's wet dream of environmental regulation, which ultimately hinders innovation and results in job loss. Reported today by the [NSSF], the EPA, through a petition from the anti-hunting Center for Biological Diversity (CBD), is attempting to further their agenda by going after another one of their targets: the Second Amendment and hunting."

Last month I touted the possibility that Tea Party candidate Joe Miller could upset Lisa Murkowski in the Alaska Republican Senate primary, possibly turning another safe GOP seat into a race. I think I subsequently concluded that it wasn't going to happen. But now it looks like it's happening.

"Edward Teller" at Open Left has been very excited about the candidacy of Democratic nominee Scott McAdams. Any chance of an upset here? If so, it's just incredible to me that the GOP establishment keeps letting its base put safe seats in play.

"Government agents can sneak onto your property in the middle of the night, put a GPS device on the bottom of your car and keep track of everywhere you go. This doesn't violate your Fourth Amendment rights, because you do not have any reasonable expectation of privacy in your own driveway — and no reasonable expectation that the government isn't tracking your movements."

"That is the bizarre — and scary — rule that now applies in California and eight other Western states.
