Actress Mia Farrow responded to Saturdays shooting in Jacksonville, Florida, by complaining that any Nazi can buy a gun in the United States. Breitbart News reported that three people were killed when a shooter opened fire in a Jacksonville Dollar General store shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday and Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters made clear the attack was racially motivated.

State wildlife officials report that two Whitefish men recently killed a grizzly bear in self-defense in the Whitefish Range north of Whitefish. The two men were scouting for hunting season near Smokey Range Trailhead in the Flathead National Forest on the afternoon of Aug. 26, 2023, when they encountered a female grizzly bear with a cub.

New Jersey's Attorney General Matthew Platkin explained that soon, all semi-automatic firearms sold in The Garden State will need to be outfitted with a specific gun control technology. This technology, called microstamping imprints the shell casing with a unique serial number. The idea is that investigators will easily match shell casing found at the scene of a crime to a specific gun, and then be able to solve more gun crime. That's the idea, and makes for a good plot of the fictional show CSI, but does it actually work?
