The nation's oldest continuously-operating airport in College Park, MD received a call Tuesday ordering them to close the airport immediately.
The order specifies absolutely NO FLIGHT OPERATIONS which means that if someone flies out of or into these airports they get to tango with the TSA or the Secret Service, depending on whose turn it is to violate someone's civil rights. |

BRIDGEPORT, WEST VIRGINIA -- "A Harrison-Marion Regional Airport worker was recently dismissed for firing a gun inside a building on airport property, the airport manager says."
"Jim Griffith said the maintenance worker discharged what he believes was a .22-caliber pistol inside an unsecured maintenance building late last week while three other workers were inside. Griffith said the man was apparently aiming his gun at a pop bottle target, and one shot hit a wall."
" "The reason I could dismiss him right there on the spot is because right in our employee policy it says, 'no unauthorized firearms on the airport,' " Griffith said Tuesday."

DEL NORTE, COLORADO -- "A bobcat that attacked two men last month was rabid - the first case of rabies in an animal in southern Colorado's San Luis Valley, according to officials."

"C. David Vogt, 45, was sentenced Sept. 6 for illegally killing the bear on his property last April."
"Vogt had claimed he shot the bear in self defense, but Pennsylvania Game Commission officials said evidence showed there was no one outdoors at the time and that the bear was not in an aggressive posture."

MIAMI -- "A retired Hialeah police officer was sentenced Thursday to more than 26 years in prison for setting up three robberies, one of them drug related, and beating hostages with a fellow officer."
"Orestes DeSoto, 46, was also sentenced to five years of supervised release on eight counts of federal robbery, narcotics and firearms charges."
"Suspended officer Cecilio Nunez, 39, was sentenced to more than 22 years in prison and supervised release on Wednesday on five similar federal charges."
"A federal judge ordered Nunez to pay $22,169.93 in restitution, U.S. Attorney Marcos Daniel Jimenez said."
"The two were arrested in October for the robberies, which were committed in little more than a month in early 2000."
"The investigation, nicknamed 'Bad Apple,' was organized by a task force of federal and state agents targeting corrupt officers. Hialeah police cooperated with the investigation."
"In the most extreme case, a restaurant manager was abducted, beaten, robbed and threatened with a gun by DeSoto, who thought the man doubled as a cocaine dealer."

Since cutting these guys' heads off and putting them on stakes outside their former police department would classify as 'cruel and unusual punishment', put them in the prison's general population and let inmates know they are cops and exactly what they did.

AURORA, COLORADO — "A 50-year-old Aurora man who was shot by police and seriously injured has been cleared of a charge that he aimed his handgun at officers before the shooting."
"An Arapahoe County jury on Wednesday acquitted Jerry Norris of felony menacing, finding that Norris could not have pointed his gun at one of two Aurora policemen on July 26, 2001."
"Now Norris, who has described his life since the shooting as 'hell,' may seek compensation from Aurora police Officers Andrew Crowley and Adolpho Ramirez, who shot Norris twice."
" 'I presume we'll be filing a suit against the city of Aurora and the officers involved,' said Robert Dill, Norris' attorney."
