A veteran New Orleans police officer allegedly molested an underage girl whose sexual assault he was investigating, according to a report.

Rodney Vicknair, 53, was arrested Friday on charges of sexual battery, indecent behavior with a juvenile and malfeasance in office after being accused of fondling the breasts and genitals of a 15-year-old girl while he looked into allegations that she was sexually assaulted by someone else, a source close to the matter told NOLA.com.

Michael Bloomberg-founded Everytown for Gun Safety is opting to push healthcare instead of new gun laws in swing states as the November election approaches.

The Washington Free Beacon reports that Everytown launched an ad campaign in Pennsylvania, Iowa, North Carolina, Arizona, and Minnesota, and there is zero mention of gun control. Instead, the ads make allegations that Republicans want to take away healthcare.

My first words to Dave Rubin were: “So you bought a gun?” “Yeah, I did,” replied Dave slowly, contemplatively, before pausing. In the pregnant pause I thought, as I always do in the first syllables of these encounters with well-known people I have often listened to, but have never spoken to: weird, I’d know that voice in the dark.

Glock’s new G44 was a surprising rimfire introduced in early 2020 after being developed in much secrecy. The idea was not only to produce a .22 LR-caliber pistol with all the typical Glock virtues—low weight, minimal maintenance, reliability, simplicity, durability, etc.—but also to do so in a platform dimensionally identical to the company’s enormously popular centerfire G19 9 mm.

The appointment of ACB took some of the focus off it, but if you look around, all you see are LARPing leftist jerks from Antifa and BLM rioting, always under the air cover of cowardly Dem mayors and Soros-bought DAs. Sure, there are no more riots in Lancaster where the cops and DAs refuse to play along, but there is still plenty of violence wherever they think they can get away with it. And it has become tiresome As amusing as it is that they burn liberal cities and harass the dipwad leftists who elected the scumbags’ enablers, it’s time to put a stop to it.

Second Amendment advocacy organizations applauded President Trump’s nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, saying the 48-year-old jurist will “respect the Bill of Rights — including the Second Amendment” and “gun owners will relish seeing” her on the court. Second Amendment organizations see an opportunity for gun rights to expand following the confirmation of Barrett after experiencing several disappointing decisions related to their cause this term.

The nation's largest gun-control group dodged guns entirely in a new swing state ad campaign that abandons the group's core issue to focus on health care. Documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund, supported in large part by donations from billionaire Michael Bloomberg, is funding ads that assail Republicans on health care rather than gun control. The ads target state-level politicians in Pennsylvania, Iowa, North Carolina, Arizona, and Minnesota. The postcard-style ads, copies of which are posted to the back end of the group's website, have nearly identical wording.

One juvenile was found, along with 21 of the stolen guns, according to a news release from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosions. The suspect was arrested, but police are still looking for the remaining firearms and suspects. “Once firearms are stolen, they are often used in violent crimes soon after," said Terry Henderson, St. Paul ATF agent. "We highly encourage anyone with information to come forward as soon as possible to prevent these firearms from being used in a crime of violence in our communities.” ATF is offering up to $5,000 for information, which will be matched by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the release states.

Handguns, rifles and shotguns are “flying off the shelves” with the primary focus on self-defense, and “nearly 26 million background checks were run through the FBI’s national instant check system through August,” the Washington Times is reporting.

That number will no doubt climb when the September NICS check data is released, possibly eclipsing the record number set in 2019 for the entire year, the newspaper indicated.

#6 steel shot is your best alternative to #6 lead, and can be preferable for use on your own land. The shooting properties are fairly similar, but you’re likely to see penetration and range drop when using steel. The big draw with #6 steel is that many feel it is safer for the environment and can be used in all places that have outlawed lead.

With the growing popularity of red-dot-equipped handguns, SIG Sauer recognized a need to incorporate such sighting systems into their SIG AIR line of training guns and accessories. The resulting SIG AIR Reflex Sight is a dedicated option designed to mount on the company's M17, PROFORCE M17 and M18 airsoft pistols. This allows owners of RDS-equipped SIG handguns to set up their airsoft training rig the same way they run their guns, providing a one-to-one platform that can be used for at-home skill-building.

Just hearing the word Safari conjures visions of deepest, darkest Africa in all her splendor. A magical continent hosting a mind-boggling array of animals we’ve never seen before, all in their natural state. We think of hefty bolt-action rifles and double guns with cigar-sized cartridges stuffed into wide leather culling belts. Yes, the word Safari has a special, mysterious meaning.

Republican voters and officials gathered for the God, Guns, and a Good Time Rally in Fluvanna County on Saturday, September 26. At that event, a raffle held in the name of Bob Good’s campaign for Congress appears to have violated state gambling and campaign finance laws. The raffle in question offered an AR-15 as the top prize and a bolt action rifle for the runner-up. Third place received a gift card. The prizes are actually not an issue according to Virginia law, the raffle itself is where the problem lies.

Filings with a federal bankruptcy court in Northern Alabama on Sunday show that Remington as it is currently known will likely be broken up among several successful bidders in the firearms industry. A 1,498-page Notice of Successful Bidders filed with the court on the morning of Sept. 27, pending a court date later this week, details that America's oldest gunmaker's assets will likely be scattered and absorbed by several other household names.

When choosing weapon lights – or flashlights, for that matter – there are a number of specifications, details, and so on that, a person should consider, but one needs to be viewed with a jaundiced eye, and that is the output in lumens. Fair warning: we’re not going to talk about anything sexy, tactical, or even the least bit salacious, so let this be your nerd alert right here.

High-tech optics and electronics help us see in low-light conditions, but training under the same types of low- or no-light scenarios will familiarize us with our gear, which is always a good thing. The topic of shooting in limited-visibility conditions has received periodic coverage in these pages over the years. We have mainly focused on the techniques and equipment that help ensure proper target identification, acquisition and engagement. However, a recent conversation with a family member reminded me many rifle shooters are unfamiliar with a more immediate dimension to night work: operating and managing equipment they cannot see.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
A state may not impose a charge for the enjoyment of a right granted by the federal constitution... The power to impose a license tax on the exercise of these freedoms is indeed as potent as the power of censorship which this Court has repeatedly struck down... a person cannot be compelled 'to purchase, through a license fee or a license tax, the privilege freely granted by the constitution.' —MURDOCK V. PENNSYLVANIA 319 US 105 (1942)
