I'd call "BS" on the earbuds excuse. They're designed to permit the wearer to hear outside sounds. OTOH, if the 'perp' had the volume up to 'total hearing loss in a decade' levels, he might not have heard any commands. But even loud audio doesn't impair vision.
Seems like another instance of 'black youths' contempt for authority' met with the usual bad outcome. |
