This is total Bovine Excrement! There is no reason this should have happened. This kind of political correctness is nothing more than a refusal to acknowledge the existence of both law enforcement having a personal life outside of working hours and on an even simpler level the existence of second amendment rights of American Citizens in general and law enforcement specifically. |

The existence of the Second Amendment is hardly a secret and the ability of an American to keep and BEAR arms is something corporate america should stop ignoring and or work to curtail in the US today. There is no state in the US that does not have a CCW permit that can be issued and all states should be "encouraged" to become shall issue. Corporations should be "encouraged" to stop with polocies that prohibit CC and or OC. This would allow two things to happen, people would start to see guns more often and become more accustomed to seeing in around them and the current freakout over seeing someone carrying a gun would subside. |

There will still people and areas that would continue to have freakouts over guns but they would hopefully be a minority of people and areas. The second is that many would see the amount of OC'ing and assumed CC'ing and choose to get some training and join them. This would further change the mindset of people and corporations about guns and the Second Amendment. Maybe I am being unrealistic but one can hope. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
No kingdom can be secured otherwise than by arming the people. The possession of arms is the distinction between a freeman and a slave. He, who has nothing, and who himself belongs to another, must be defended by him, whose property he is, and needs no arms. But he, who thinks he is his own master, and has what he can call his own, ought to have arms to defend himself, and what he possesses; else he lives precariously, and at discretion. — James Burgh, Political Disquisitions: Or, an Enquiry into Public Errors, Defects, and Abuses [London, 1774-1775]. |
