"Last week's summit between Gov. Pawlenty and city officials, which sought to address recent shootings in Minneapolis, left out one of the most crucial elements in preventing gun violence. According to Citizens for a Safer Minnesota, the Governor's plan to increase the police presence in Downtown and Uptown Minneapolis is laudable, but lacking."
"Sue Fust of Citizens for a Safer Minnesota said, 'Crime is a complex issue that requires a multifaceted response. ... we must also do something to decrease the number of people who are illegally carrying guns.
