The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution reads as follows: “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”
Please note, in order to have the right to keep and bear arms and not have it be infringed, a person must (1) be part of a well-regulated militia, that is (2) helping to secure and keep free the state.
If we enforced the Second Amendment as it is written, we might be well on our way to solving the daily slaughter that occurs in our country. |

Another liberal hack that never studied history and believes that his opinion on the second amendment is the final word.
Any serious study of the writings from the period will debunk this scribes conclusion. |

| Let me ask you, Do you really want groups to start forming into militias? Twenty or thirty armed men running around, you would wet your panties. How about if the KKK were to establish their selves as a militia? Or the Black Panthers? That's a can of worms that would really start a new revolution. Remember, the last revolution stated with government going to 'collect' guns from the colonist. |

The way I read the second amendment, it says that a well-regulated militia, which is necessary to the security of a free state, shall not be infringed; AND the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed either.
So both the well-regulated militia and the right of the people to keep and bear arms are two things that shouldn't be messed with. |
