    | The United States accounts for less than 5% of the world population, but it owns more than 40% of the planet’s weapons for civilian use. Without an official figure, it is estimated that there will be some 350 million, more than inhabitants in the country. According to Pew Research, three out of ten adults have at least one and three others would consider having it in the future.

    | "22 gauge"?
"a pistol at his side, pinned to a belt"?

 "Smith & Wesson 5 revolver"?

This piece is from India, and illustrates convincingly that people who know little-to-nothing about guns probably shouldn't be writing about them.

They should just shut up and go away.

                      | Those, who have the command of the arms in a country are masters of the state, and have it in their power to make what revolutions they please. [Thus,] there is no end to observations on the difference between the measures likely to be pursued by a minister backed by a standing army, and those of a court awed by the fear of an armed people. — Aristotle, as quoted by John Trenchard and Water Moyle, An Argument Shewing, That a Standing Army Is Inconsistent with a Free Government, and Absolutely Destructive to the Constitution of the English Monarchy [London, 1697]. | | |
