I often wonder what it means for us to be dependent on guns for safety, recreation and self-defense. Guns are made to wound and kill. They have no other purpose. I know from personal experience that shooting a gun is a rush like no other. I have family members who sleep with a gun in their bedside table, or under the mattress, ostensibly to protect themselves and family members from burglars, rapists, and other intruders. I’m willing to bet money that the ghostly image of that fearful intruder looks like somebody from a different and fearful race. A person I know keeps a gun in the back row of the church in case an unsavory person appears. |

I've got a better one:
"Children will oppress my people. Women will rule them. My people, your guides mislead you, and you don't know which way to go." - Isaiah 3:12
These 'useful idiot' kids are being stoked, scripted and organized by Women's March Youth Empower.
Any questions? |

Isaiah 11:6 is where the quote is found.....but Isaiah is discussing Christ's second coming when he removes all sin and animals like lions eat grass and are peaceful..."a child shall lead them," meaning lead animals, not people. For another Biblical perspective ...PROVERBS 22:15 ~~~~"foolishness is bound up in the heart of the child." Should we, in that light, follow? |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
To trust arms in the hands of the people at large has, in Europe, been believed...to be an experiment fraught only with danger. Here by a long trial it has been proved to be perfectly harmless...If the government be equitable; if it be reasonable in its exactions; if proper attention be paid to the education of children in knowledge and religion, few men will be disposed to use arms, unless for their amusement, and for the defence of themselves and their country. — Timothy Dwight, Travels in New England and New York [London 1823] |
