The F-15 is an air superiority fighter designed to keep airspace clear of enemy fighters and bombers like MiG and Tupelov Russian aircraft.
Ground fighters might be more concerned about Apache AH-64 gunships and other air to ground assets.
Even then, in asymmetric warfare, THERE ARE WAYS to survive and fight.
