Kelly McGillis said she plans to apply for a concealed carry gun permit after she was assaulted by an intruder in her North Carolina home Friday, June 17.
The actress, who is best known for playing Charlotte "Charlie" Blackwood in "Top Gun," recalled the scary incident in a recent Facebook post. ...
This isn't the first time McGillis has been the victim of assault; she and her girlfriend at the time were raped in 1982.
SUBMITTER'S COMMENT: She also starred, with Harrison Ford, in "Witness" (1985). I'm surprised that, after her 1982 rape, she didn't already have a concealed carry permit. |

Who needs guns? The police are there to protect you. You know, just like in Orlando while they waited 3 hrs. for people to bleed out and be reshot. These killers are not there to negotiate. They are there to kill and die and receive their reward in Islamic heaven. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. ~ Marcus Tullius Cicero (42B.C) |
