You’re a teacher and formerly on active duty with the military where you were actually trained to use weapons? Why on Earth would anyone ever want to take your opinion into account? Don’t you know the Second Amendment is at stake here?
Of course, your opinion is valuable. If I had the power to do anything about this issue I would assemble a panel of the relatively few, but not insignificant, citizens like yourself who have been trained to use weapons and who have also had experience with education. |

Calling the only surefire way to combat immediate armed assaults on schoolchildren insane is, well, INSANE. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments, to which the people are attached, and by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of. Notwithstanding the military establishments in the several kingdoms of Europe, which are carried as far as the public resources will bear, the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. — James Madison, The Federalist Papers, No. 46 |
