A gun-rights group trying to unseat U.S. Sen. John McCain in next week's Republican primary says it supports his GOP challenger.
Dr. Kelli Ward is challenging McCain in the August 30 primary, hoping to defeat the longtime senator.
Erich Pratt of Gun Owners of America, which has endorsed Ward, says Ward and McCain are in a "dead heat" after a third GOP candidate dropped out earlier this month.
Echoing that suggestion, a Breitbart story cites a May poll showing Ward tied with McCain in a two-person race.
"So we know that this is going to be very close," he tells OneNewsNow. "We're very optimistic about this race." |

Thank you John for your service to our country. Please elect somebody that can consistently vote for sound policies, and it's not someone who shot a burro in the Grand Canyon stating that it charged him. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
To have no proud monarch driving over me with his gilt coaches; nor his host of excise-men and tax-gatherers insulting and robbing me; but to be my own master, my own prince and sovereign, gloriously preserving my national dignity, and pursuing my true happiness; planting my vineyards, and eating their luscious fruits; and sowing my fields, and reaping the golden grain: and seeing millions of brothers all around me, equally free and happy as myself. This, sir, is what I long for. -- General Francis Marion, American War of Independence, Georgetown, SC [Source: 'Marion, The Life of Gen. Francis Marion' by M. L. Weems, Ch.18] |
