"Having a gun and a child in the same home is a dangerous combination, but with the help of Project ChildSafe, it's a risk that may soon disappear."
"During the week of Oct. 4 the organization distributed 170,000 gun locks to police departments in Massachusetts. The locks are steel cables that go through the barrel, preventing the gun from being loaded, and works on semiautomatic pistols, revolvers and rifles. The cable is then locked into place, and no two keys are alike. Along with the free locks the organization distributed firearm safety education materials to the police. ..." ... -------
Or you could just teach your child gun safety, which will protect him/her from guns that aren't locked. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to permit the conquered Eastern peoples to have arms. History teaches that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by doing so. Indeed I would go so far as to say that the underdog is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let's not have any native militia or police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order. — Adolf Hitler, April 11, 1942. (Source: "Hitler's Table-Talk at the Fuehrer's Headquarters 1941-1942", Dr. Henry Picker, ed. (Athenaeum Verlag, Bonn, 1951).) |
