After three mass shootings in under 30 days, Governor Andrew Cuomo now has his sights set on tightening gun laws in New York State. On Thursday following the deadly shooting at a California bar that left 12 dead, Cuomo says he plans to take additional steps “to make our laws even stronger.” But as families across the country mourn the loss of loved ones to gun violence, not everyone agrees more laws are the answer. |

All of you know that the Democratic Socialists want to disarm us all. They took an Oath of office which they apparently had no intention of honoring to begin with. In order to comply with the Constitution, Congress has enacted federal laws to execute and enforce this constitutional requirement. Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both. |

Restrictive gun laws didn't work in California. Why would NY think they can prevent mass shootings by passing even more restrictive gun laws?
Oh, I forgot. This is not about safety or preventing mass shootings. This is about control and the ultimate objective to take away guns from honest law abiding citizens that are not the problem. |

TO REMEMBER |
"Some people think that the Second Amendment is an outdated relic of an earlier time. Doubtless some also think that constitutional protections of other rights are outdated relics of earlier times. We The People own those rights regardless, unless and until We The People repeal them. For those who believe it to be outdated, the Second Amendment provides a good test of whether their allegiance is really to the Constitution of the United States, or only to their preferences in public policies and audiences. The Constitution is law, not vague aspirations, and we are obligated to protect, defend, and apply it. If the Second Amendment were truly an outdated relic, the Constitution provides a method for repeal. The Constitution does not furnish the federal courts with an eraser." --9th Circuit Court Judge Andrew Kleinfeld, dissenting opinion in which the court refused to rehear the case while citing deeply flawed anti-Second Amendment nonsense (Nordyke v. King; opinion filed April 5, 2004) |
