From the early information available to police yesterday, it appears a burglar made a fatal mistake in the victim selection process as he was going about his work.
The King County Sheriff's office says an unidentified man was shot and killed by a homeowner as the man and another suspect attempted to break into a house where a man and his two children were inside.
The other suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
Just after 11:00 am SeaTac Police received a call of a burglary to a residence in the 17600 block of 38th Avenu South and shots being fired. |

Kudos to the homeowner.
By ridding society of this miscreant he prevented untold number of crimes and cost to the county and state.
This is the only punishment that deters criminals. They have no fear of the justice system with its bail, plea bargain and parole. Most crimes against property won't even garner a week in jail. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments, to which the people are attached, and by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of. Notwithstanding the military establishments in the several kingdoms of Europe, which are carried as far as the public resources will bear, the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. — James Madison, The Federalist Papers, No. 46 |
