WVU faculty and students were each given an opportunity to share their thoughts on House Bill 2519.
"More guns on campus is not going to lead to more violence," said Jackson Wolfe, who's pro-campus carry.
"Having the accessibility to a weapon makes situations escalate very quickly," said Olivia Young, a student against the bill.
The proposed Campus Self Defense Act would allow licensed people to carry a concealed weapon on college campuses throughout the state. |

"Having the accessibility to a weapon makes situations escalate very quickly," said Olivia Young, a student against the bill.
Straw man, and completely without logic.
How does one 'escalate' from the starting point of shooting everybody in sight?
GAH. Ridiculous. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
...If a man lies under oath or procures the lie of another under oath, if he perjures himself or suborns perjury, he is guilty under the statute law. Under the higher law, under the great law of morality and righteousness, he is precisely as guilty if, instead of lying in a court, he lies in a newspaper or on the stump; and in all probability, the evil effects of his conduct are infinitely more widespread and more pernicious. — Teddy Roosevelt - May 12, 1900 |
