The legislation at issue is the most common-sense kind of incremental regulation, far from the space of affecting legal gun ownership and focused directly on loopholes that help the flow of guns into hands that shouldn’t have them.
Who can argue, for instance, that individuals who make the no-fly list because of suspected ties to terrorism should maintain access to weapons?
