One of the most prominent opponents of the "campus carry" bill that passed in Texas this year was University of Texas System Chancellor William McRaven, a former Navy SEALs admiral responsible for directing the raid that killed Osama bin Laden.
"I've spent my whole life around guns. I grew up in Texas hunting. I spent 37 years in the military. I like guns, but I just don't think having them on campus is the right place," he told CNN. |

Despite all the sky is falling predictions, campus carry is permitted in several other states and has never been a problem.
The real problem is the victim disarmament zones that draw the sickos and malcontents.

Dear CNN: McRaven is deciding about campus carry for the UNIVERSITY of Texas, not "Texas." How about you check with the Texas A&M System, and other public colleges. |

TO REMEMBER |
| The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to permit the conquered Eastern peoples to have arms. History teaches that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by doing so. Indeed I would go so far as to say that the underdog is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let's not have any native militia or police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order. — Adolf Hitler, April 11, 1942.
