Alabama voters picked Roy Moore over incumbent Sen. Luther Strange during a Republican runoff election Tuesday to fill Jeff Sessions’ vacated U.S. Senate seat.
Strange, who had the backing of the NRA and Trump, who adopted the gun lobby’s views during his campaign, vowed to support Trump’s agenda to take on the establishment and advance conservative issues.
Yet, Moore had the backing of other prominent conservatives including former Trump advisor Steve Bannon and more extreme gun rights organizations like Gun Owners of America.
The NRA spent roughly seven figures on Strange ads and to raise public doubt about Moore’s dedication to the Second Amendment. |

"more extreme gun rights organizations like Gun Owners of America."
Extreme? How can an organization dedicated to protecting our God given rights be extreme?

The reason he was picked is the Republicans in office are not doing what we hired them for. AFC, Share, National Reciprocity, etc. Time to put a new group in that understands who hired them.
The plug on the drain is about to be pulled!!! |

Legal purists don't like Judge Moore because he won't uphold recent SCOTUS decisions re: 10 commandments & gay marriage. But Alabamians like him because he sticks to his principles despite the cost, which means he's unlikely to flip-flop as senator. Luther Strange, OTOH, is -- sorry -- a corrupt, lying swamp dweller who was deservedly shunned by the electors. Trump got some REALLY BAD advice from whatever swampmonster told him Strange was a good and viable candidate. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
I do believe that where there is a choice only between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence. Thus when my eldest son asked me what he should have done had he been present when I was almost fatally assaulted in 1908 [by an Indian extremist opposed to Gandhi's agreement with Smuts], whether he should have run away and seen me killed or whether he should have used his physical force which he could and wanted to use, and defend me, I told him it was his duty to defend me even by using violence. Hence it was that I took part in the Boer War, the so-called Zulu Rebellion and [World War I]. Hence also do I advocate training in arms for those who believe in the method of violence. I would rather have India resort to arms in order to defend her honor than that she should in a cowardly manner become or remain a helpless witness to her own dishonor. — Mohandas K. Gandhi, Young India, August 11, 1920 from Fischer, Louis ed.,The Essential Gandhi, 1962 |
