Somebody ought to inform this misguided person that a revolution IS underway - a Marxist revolution. The BLM's leadership and the ANITFA "community activists" have said so and continue to demonstrate that, explicitly.
To cast peaceable people who don't employ force until they are imminently threatened as the provocateurs is simple-minded babble (or calculated agitprop).
And the hand-wringing Amen Chorus in the article's comments section is full of card-carrying "useful idiots."
According to Merriam Webster's definition of "deviate" ( to stray especially from a standard, principle, or topic), it is this cadre of sad sacks who are the antithesis of this nation's founding principles, not the rest of us.

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any bands of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States. — Noah Webster in "An Examination into the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution," 1787, in Paul Ford, ed., Pamphlets on the Constitution of the United States, at p. 56 (New York, 1888). |
