The current boyfriend went after the ex who was just sitting in a parked car with the girlfriend?
Yep, and the ex had a legitimate right to kill the boyfriend in self defense, not the other way around.
You don't get to force your way into somebody else's stopped car so you can stab him, and then claim you stabbed him in self defense.
