Cop Killer Advocate is NOT a Libertarian Party member.

Several New Hampshire newspapers have been running articles about freshman Republican state representative from Nashua, Tom Alciere. Alciere has a controversial history of advocating killing police officers and other violent acts.

The facts are:

  • In the 1993, the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire formally revoked Alciere's membership and refunded his dues based on his antisocial rantings.

  • Alciere may be able to produce a current membership card but that membership was obtained without the national party's knowledge of his history. "When his name came across my desk," said party chair, Danielle Donovan, "I promptly notified national to revoke it."

  • Alciere ran as a Republican because the Libertarian Party would not have let him on their ballot and he knows it.

"Alciere may call himself a 'libertarian' but, just because I call myself a 'head of lettuce', doesn't make it so," said Donovan.

Libertarian Party members sign a pledge certifying they "do not believe in or advocate the initiation of force as a means of achieving political or social goals."
