"Gunner's Guru" Supports "Ashcroft Petition"

November 14, 2001

KeepAndBearArms.com -- Legendary firearms author and teacher Colonel Jeff Cooper has endorsed the Petition for Enforcement of the Second Amendment, and has taken the further step of personally asking for signatures.

"We admire your proposed stroke for liberty," Col. Cooper told Petition Coordinator David Codrea in his response to a request for support. The actual letter is reproduced here with Col. Cooper's permission. His biographical notes appear below.

"To have a man of Jeff Cooper's stature approve of our effort is both humbling and validating," Mr. Codrea stated. "We're gratified that he sees the merits of this project, and are committed to maintaining his confidence. We also hope that others will realize that, when they join us, they'll be in good company."

The Petition for Enforcement of the Second Amendment (also known as the "Ashcroft Petition") is a joint project of Citizens Of America (CitizensOfAmerica.org) and KeepAndBearArms.com. Read about it, and view the actual petition, here: http://www.KeepAndBearArms.com/Petition/.
