Anti-Gun Activist Gets Violent -- Again

from Bill Dietrick
with Firearms Coalition of Colorado
former Legislative Director of Colorado State Shooting Association

The Crossroads of the West gun show in Aurora, Colorado got a bit lively again on January 6. Anti-gun protestor Robin Chan was at it again.  On April 2, 2000, Mr. Chan was arrested and forced to pay restitution -- same show, last year -- when he overturned a dealer's table, damaging a lot of high-priced firearms.

He is now a repeat offender.

Yelling "Guns kill people," this time he upset the table of Bob Funk, a licensed antique firearms dealer. One of our friends, an ex-Viet Nam Ranger, tackled Chan and subdued him. A number of other dealers quickly joined in holding Chan until the police could note the disturbance, and put the cuffs on him. Funk estimated damage to his firearms at about $1,200.

For previous report from the April 2, 2000 incident, go to Question:  How many times does this violent person get to assault innocent people before he is left in the psychiatric ward of a jail to be preyed upon by the kind of people his anti-gun votes empower?

Thanks for the report, Bill.

You must understand, therefore, that there are two ways of fighting: by law or by force. The first way is natural to men, and the second to beasts. But as the first way often proves inadequate one must have recourse to the second. Niccolo Machiavelli in "The Prince."
